Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 12: Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan’s movie has been struggling at the ticket windows ever since it entered its first weekdays. The Tamil film had a blockbuster opening with Rs 31.7 crore. The numbers started falling after 4 days of its release. The action crime drama was released in theatres on October 10, 2024. It gave tough competition at the box office to Alia Bhatt’s Jigra, Dhruva Sarja’s Kannada movie Martin and Rajkummar Rao, Tripti Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The movie was ahead in the box office game. However, now the film is struggling to gather audiences at the theatres.

As per Sacnilk, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan’s movie earned Rs 1.85 crore on Day 12. The net collection of Vettaiyan stands at Rs 136.45 crore. It had overall 14.13 per cent Tamil occupancy in theatres, 12.58 per cent Telugu occupancy and 5.66 per cent Hindi occupancy.
About Vettaiyan
The story revolves around a drug trade that was discovered by a government school teacher. When she informed the police, the case had been handed over to an officer, who is known for unconventional methods of solving cases. During his investigation, he finds several crimes behind the drug trade. TJ Gnanavel’s directorial stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Dushara Vijayan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Rana Daggubati and Sharwanand in key roles. The film was released in theatres in different languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, the action crime drama was made with a budget of Rs 300 crore.

As per reports, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan’s movie is set to make its digital debut on Prime Video on November 7, 2024.
