In December 2023, actor Vidyut Jammwal took to his Instagram account and dropped a series of naked pictures of himself. Soon after the pics went viral, the ‘Crakk’ actor received mixed reactions on social media. Now, Jammwal has finally opened up about the criticisms he got after uploading his nude pictures on the photo-blogging site.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Vidyut Jammwal said, “I’ve been doing this for 14 years. This is the first time I’ve posted something. If you go back to my first Instagram post in Ladakh, where I’m almost exactly in the same form I do this for me. I have lived a luxurious life for the last five or seven years. It's been a little different like everything is taken care of by somebody, everything. It could be anything in my life. I spend about 15 to 20 days every year of my life spending time with myself. It could be in the forest, it could be in the wilderness, it could be anywhere where not many people travel.”

He further added, “I like doing my own stuff, I like putting up my tent, I like getting bored of me, I like reading a book which just doesn’t excite me, I like getting bored, I like spending time with me. So, this picture that you’re talking about is one of my 14 visits to these places and I thought why not post it? I’m proud of it. Everybody should spend time with themselves even if they can get naked and spend time with you. Nothing is more relaxing because the only person you should not be ashamed of is you. Where will you learn this with yourself.”

When questioned about the buzz surrounding his nude photographs, Vidyut remarked that such minor issues are akin to a mosquito bite, implying they're insignificant. He added that criticism doesn't affect you if you choose not to let it. Furthermore, the actor expressed that criticism holds no sway over him, as it merely represents someone else's viewpoint of him.

In December 2023, Vidyut Jammwal shared his nude pictures from the Himalayas. He captioned his post, “My retreat to the Himalayan ranges - “the abode of the divine” started 14 years ago. Before I realised, it became an integral part of my life to spend 7-10 days alone- every year. Coming into the wilderness from a life of luxury and adulation, I enjoy finding my solitude and realising the importance of knowing “Who I am Not“ which is the first step of knowing “WHO AM I “as well as fending for myself in the quiet luxuries provided by nature.”
