The British rock band Coldplay created a buzz during their Music of the Spheres World India tour. During the last concert in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on January 26, the band's frontman, Chris Martin, drew attention with his humorous remark about his Indian roots. The video instantly went viral and caught the attention of actor Vijay Deverakonda. He reacted by saying someone should make a Podusthunna Poddumeeda X Coldplay mashup.

Vijay Deverakonda Reacts To Chris Martin's Viral Video

During the Ahmedabad concert, Chris addressed the audience and surprised them by stating they are an Indian band. In the video, he was heard saying, "I would like to say thank you to the rest of the band. We've been brothers now for 29 years. And it’s just the most amazing thing to be part of, and what most of you don’t know is that all four of us were born in India, so we’re already an Indian band."

Chris then pointed toward Guy Berryman, the bassist and said, "He looks like he is from Scotland, but he is not. He is from Tamil Nadu. Everyone knows that I am from Telangana. And please welcome all the way from Ahmedabad, 100 per cent Gujarati, on the drums and everything else. In many ways, the leader of our band, the person that keeps us together, the lovely, incredibly bright, beautiful, and scary, Will Champion."

Reacting to the video, Vijay Deverakonda, who was moved by Chris’s words, wrote on his Instagram story, “Chris Martin, welcome! Someone needs to make a Podusthunna Poddumeeda X Coldplay mashup.” Podusthunna Poddumeeda is a song from the movie Jai Bolo Telangana, based on the Telangana movement.
