The Sabarmati Report Teaser: Vikrant Massey, known for his recent performance in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 2023 movie 12th Fail, has announced his next project, 'The Sabarmati Report'. The film, directed by Ranjan Chandel and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan, is based on the tragic burning of the Sabarmati Express in Gujarat's Godhra on February 27, 2002.

Massey shared the teaser of the film on the 22nd anniversary of the incident, where he portrays the role of Shraban Kumar, a journalist who challenges the notion that the burning was an accident. The teaser highlights his character's conviction as he refutes the claim and asserts that it was not an accident.

In the social media post, Massey paid homage to the 59 innocent lives lost in the Godhra train burning incident and announced the release date of the film, stating that it will hit the cinemas on May 3, 2024.
