As the world celebrates Mother's Day today, May 11, star Indian batter Virat Kohli also took a moment to appreciate the women in his life. He penned a special note for his mother and his wife, Anushka Sharma, who is the mother of his kids, Vamika and Akaay. He praised the actress, stating that she has turned into a 'strong, nurturing, loving, and protective mother.'
Virat Kohli Shares Mother's Day Post
Virat took to his Instagram handle and shared a series of photos featuring his mom, mother-in-law and wife Anushka Sharma. The first picture captures Anushka holding her baby in her arms in a garden, presumably Akaay. Followed by a childhood photo of Virat with his mom. He also posted an image of Anushka as a kid while her mom holds her in her arms.
Along with the post, he wrote, "Happy mothers day to all the mothers of the world. I was born to one, accepted by one as a son and have seen one grow into a strong, nurturing, loving and protective mother to our children. We love you more and more every day @anushkasharma.

Anushka Sharma also posted a special wish on Mother's Day. She dropped pictures of her mother from her younger days and her mother-in-law. She wrote, "Happy Mothers Day to all the beautiful mothers everywhere in the world."

Virat and Anushka, fondly referred to as 'Virushka,' are one of the most loved celebrity couples. They are admired for their couple goals and are often seen supporting each other. After dating for years, Virat and Anushka tied the knot on December 11, 2017, in Italy in the presence of family and close friends. They met during a commercial shoot in 2013 and reportedly began dating soon after. They welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika, on January 11, 2021. In February 2024, they became parents to a son, Akaay. The couple has not introduced the faces of their kids to the world yet. They are often seen hiding them during public appearances or on their social media posts.
