Vishwambhara Teaser: The much-anticipated teaser for Chiranjeevi's upcoming movie was unveiled on Dussehra, stirring up excitement among fans. Directed by Vassishta, known for the hit Bimbisara, the film promises to be an epic socio-fantasy adventure. Joining Chiranjeevi in this ambitious project are Trisha Krishnan, Ashika Ranganath and Kunal Kapoor.
The teaser gives a glimpse into the larger-than-life world the film is set in, with Chiranjeevi leading the charge in a story that unfolds across the universe. The makers have described it as an adventure that goes "beyond the universe," and the visuals reflect this bold claim. The teaser reveals mythical landscapes filled with creatures like fish-shaped birds and inhabitants with pointed ears, creating a unique ecosystem. However, this peaceful world faces an imminent threat and Chiranjeevi’s character is shown stepping up to save the day.
In one of the teaser’s highlights, Chiranjeevi is seen flying on a Pegasus, the iconic winged horse, as he battles enemies with a mace. Another striking scene shows him framed by a statue of Lord Hanuman, adding a mythological layer to the film. While the rest of the cast remains in the shadows for now, it’s hinted that Kunal Kapoor will be playing the antagonist.

Despite the grand visuals and the promise of an intergalactic journey, the teaser’s VFX has sparked mixed reactions online. With high expectations from both fans and critics, the quality of the visual effects has come under scrutiny. Several viewers took to social media to voice their disappointment. On X (formerly Twitter), one user commented, “Below par graphics,” while another lamented, “VFX baledu boss (VFX isn’t good, boss).”
Some viewers even drew comparisons to Hollywood blockbusters, with one remarking that the visuals reminded them of Avatar and Infinity War. Others, however, were more sarcastic, with one person humorously stating, “Good try, Chiru garu! Don’t try more.” The film’s VFX also sparked memes, with several users comparing it to Chiranjeevi's earlier film Acharya and the poorly received VFX in Adipurush.
Vishwambhara was initially scheduled for release on January 10, 2025, to coincide with Sankranthi, a popular festive season for movie releases. However, at the teaser launch, director Vassishta announced that the film's release had been postponed. He explained that the decision was made to avoid clashing with Ram Charan’s Game Changer, which is set to release during the Sankranthi holiday. “Let’s enjoy that film first, and then the producers and Chiranjeevi garu will announce a new release date,” Vassishta said.
