Television actor Vivian Dsena, who was recently seen on Bigg Boss 18, has been making headlines for his candid revelations about his acting journey. While he has been in the industry for years, his stint on the reality show gave fans a glimpse of a different side of him. However, some people perceived him as arrogant—a notion he recently addressed in an interview with Pinkvilla.
Looking back on his early days, Vivian shared that he faced rejection around 350 to 400 times before making it big. However, he doesn’t see it as a unique struggle. “I think everyone goes through this, and I am no exception. I don’t have some big struggling story—every actor experiences this phase in their life,” he said.
For Vivian, rejection played a crucial role in shaping him as an actor. He believes setbacks are necessary for growth. “Rejection is an important part of an actor’s life. It helps build resilience. Confidence needs to be tested, and ups and downs are inevitable because life is never constant,” he explained.

Vivian also addressed why some people assume he has an attitude problem. He admitted that he tends to be lost in his own world, which might have given people the wrong impression. “People used to think, ‘He has too much attitude, who does he think he is?’ That was the perception,” he said.
Adding to this, he revealed that he always maintained a professional approach in his work. “I wasn’t used to making personal connections on set. For me, work is a responsibility and I preferred to focus entirely on that,” he shared.
The actor also believes that his on-screen roles contributed to the misconception. Having played intense characters, like RK from Madhubala, many assumed he was the same in real life. “Most of my roles have had anger as a common trait. So, people think I must talk like RK in real life too. But in reality, I’m the complete opposite of the characters I’ve played,” he clarified.
Vivian Dsena’s journey in the entertainment industry is a testament to perseverance. Despite numerous rejections and misunderstandings about his personality, he has carved out a successful career.
