Ram Gopal Varma has expressed strong criticism toward TDP leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu, TDP MLC Nara Lokesh, and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan. He accused them of staging a protest outside his office in Hyderabad regarding his upcoming political film, 'Vyooham'. This protest stems from the controversy surrounding Varma's movie, which delves into the politics of Andhra Pradesh, sparking a significant stir and drawing attention to the film's subject matter.

RGV took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video clip depicting a group of protestors burning an effigy outside the office of the 'Sarkar' director, which showcases the intensity of opposition and the reaction his movie has triggered among certain groups. Varma wrote, "Hey @ncbn, @naralokesh and @PawanKalyan , here are your DOGS BARKING outside my office and they RAN OFF when the COPS came." However, Naidu, Lokesh Nara and Pawan Kalyan have still not commented on it.

Vyooham, a political drama produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar, has stirred controversy, leading to a protest outside director Ram Gopal Varma's office in Hyderabad. Protestors reportedly burnt an effigy of Varma and voiced slogans against the filmmaker due to the movie's content. The film delves into the circumstances surrounding the demise of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.

Vyooham features Manasa Radhakrishnan, Ajmal Ameer, and Surabhi Prabhavathi in key roles.

Nara Lokesh takes legal action

Recently, Nara Lokesh, the son of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader N Chandrababu Naidu, has taken legal action by approaching the Telangana High Court regarding alleged attempts to tarnish his father's image in producer Ram Gopal Varma's movie. In his petition, Lokesh has urged the high court to revoke the censor certificate of the crime-thriller film, centered around a police officer navigating a web of conspiracies. He claims that the movie portrays Naidu in a manner that misrepresents him and could potentially make him unpopular.

Lokesh argued that the director and producer's actions violated Naidu's fundamental rights, highlighting this in his petition to the high court. As the national general secretary of the TDP, Lokesh asserts that the film's portrayal of his father unjustly damages Naidu's public image.

Nara Lokesh has alleged that the film 'Vyooham' received support from Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and claimed that its primary objective is to tarnish the reputation of the opposition TDP. According to Lokesh, the director and producer, despite a history of releasing what he perceives as 'misleading' films, are moving forward with 'Vyooham' with the support of Jagan Reddy, fully aware of the potential financial losses. The high court will hear the petition on Tuesday.
