Television’s popular face Gurucharan Singh, who played Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has been missing for a while now. Amid the tension raised in the industry and his family due to this incident, his father Hargit Singh recalled the last day he spent with his son. Hargit shared that it was his birthday and Gurucharan stayed with him all day at his Delhi residence. The actor also shared a video on Instagram in which he wished his father on the special day.
In an interview with Times of India, Gurucharan’s father said “There were no celebrations as such, but we were at home together, and it felt nice. The next day, he was supposed to travel to Mumbai.”
“What has happened is very shocking, we don’t know how to deal with it. Hum sab bahut pareshaan hain (We are very troubled) and are eagerly waiting for some update from the police. Hum uske wapas aane ka intezaar kar rahe hain (We are awaiting his return),” he added.
When did Gurucharan go missing?
Gurucharan’s friend Bhakti Soni had waited for hours at the Mumbai airport to pick him up on the day of his arrival. But the actor did not show up then she also tried calling him which went unanswered. She was unable to contact him.
The actor’s father shared that his son had been missing since 22nd April from Delhi airport. Hargit Singh also filed a missing complaint at Delhi’s Palam Police Station. His father also claimed that the actor’s phone has been unreachable since then and he neither reached Mumbai nor came back home.
A report in News18 stated, “He left his phone in the Palam area. We are trying to find but it only makes it more difficult for us to trace Gurucharan Singh, because this means that the phone is not with the actor. In the CCTV footage we recovered that he was seen moving from one e-rickshaw to another. Looks like, he had planned everything and has moved out of Delhi.”
