Shah Rukh Khan, one of the most well-known movie stars in the world debuted at the MET Gala on Monday (Tuesday morning, India time). The actor introduced himself to the international press in a video that has now gone viral online from the red carpet.

Shah Rukh Khan introduced himself as Shah Rukh to reporters who were holding microphones in front of him. In the viral video, a foreign journalist asked him, 'who are you,' to which he replied with a smile - "I am Shah Rukh Khan." He was also questioned about his evening ensemble, which was created by renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherji. 

Shha Rukh Khan's three word response broke the internet leaving many unhappy with foreign media's unpreparedness. One of the users wrote, "To be able to witness people asking about who shah rukh khan is.........am i really that old for having the memory of crying over ‘my name is khan’." Another user wrote, "This right here is my roman empire, period." A third user wrote, "I AM SHAH RUKH ……………WE CAN HEAR THIS ALL THE DAY LONG. KING KHAN AT MET GALA."

Shah Rukh Khan became the first male Indian actor to walk the MET Gala's renowned red carpet, making history in the process. It was Sabyasachi Mukherjee who created his appearance. The celebrity accessorised with bold Sabyasachi jewelry and a striking black suit. SRK's appearance in the viral photos and videos swooned his fans over and again. The actor wore numerous golden jewelry with a chic black suit. His initials 'SRK' and the letter 'K' are featured on the two most noticeable necklaces. In addition, the superstar wore a striking watch and four statemet rings on his left hand.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh revealed that he was anxious and that he was doing it all for his children Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. His only requirement to Sabyasachi on the look was that it be either black or white. What counts most, he continued, is that he was comfortable in the luxury ensemble. The celebrated designer, Sabyasachi informed the hosts that he is one of the world's biggest stars and nearly started a stampede outside their hotel in an interview with Vogue.
