Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World title in 2000, marking a significant milestone in her career. Representing India, she captivated the judges with her poise, intelligence, and charm. During the pageant, the actress famously performed the 'namaste' pose, which has since become an iconic representation of her journey. Well, PeeCee recently attended a concert featuring her husband, Nick Jonas, and his brothers at the O2 Arena in London on September 16. This venue, previously known as the Millennium Dome, is where Priyanka was crowned Miss World in 2000. Now, twenty-four years later, she was excited to return to the same location with her two-year-old daughter, Malti.
Following this, the actress shared her experience on social media, including the story behind her iconic 'namaste' pose. "I was crowned Miss World at this arena 24 years ago. It was called the Millennium Dome back then. I’ll never forget my little 18-year-old, excited, nervous, and competitive self, trying to look and be the best I could be. A memory I will never forget from November 30, 2000, is the feeling of balancing on pencil heels with a gorgeous Hemant Trivedi dress that was falling off the entire evening because my body tape would not stay on, as I was sweating so much from nerves," Priyanka wrote.

"Hence, if you Google the pictures, after I win, I look like I’m doing a namaste in gratitude, but I’m actually desperately trying to keep my dress up. Clearly, I survived and it was all well in the end," she continued, adding, "To be back here watching my husband and his brothers perform with my daughter, family, and friends is such a full circle. Life has been good. Gratitude."
Priyanka Chopra's work front
The actress has multiple projects in the pipeline, including Heads of State, The Bluff, and Citadel Season 2. Meanwhile, Nick Jonas is set to appear in the comedy musical drama Power Ballad.
Additionally, Priyanka is looking forward to the release of her production venture, Paani, a Marathi film directed by Adinath Kothare. Talking about the movie, Priyanka said, "I'm thrilled to share Paani with the world - a true passion project that tackles a vital issue. This film is special, challenging to make but so relevant for the time we live in. This is an inspiring story of one man’s journey to find solutions that will radically change the lives of all those around him."
