Civil Surgeon Dr Alka Singh, accompanied by DIO and Nodal Officer (MTP) Dr JP Rajliwal, conducted an inspection of health services in slum areas on Saturday. The primary objective was to evaluate the quality of services being provided and ensure that necessary corrective measures are implemented.

During the visit, Dr Singh reviewed the standard and accessibility of healthcare services and interacted with local health workers. She issued specific instructions to the relevant officials, emphasising the need to ensure:

Complete Birth Registration: No infant should be left without official birth registration.

Timely Vaccination: Every eligible beneficiary must receive vaccination services promptly.

The Civil Surgeon highlighted that intensive monitoring efforts are ongoing throughout the district. These efforts focus on:

  • Improving the sex ratio at birth.
  • Identifying high-risk pregnancies early.
  • Ensuring the consistent availability of antenatal services.

Dr Singh further directed officials to enhance regular follow-up procedures with residents and strengthen public awareness activities. The overarching goal, she stated, is to ensure that no child in the district is deprived of essential vaccination or other necessary healthcare facilities.
