The 'I Love Muhammad' row has once again ignited in Uttar Pradesh as tensions flared up in Aligarh after some unidentified miscreants defaced the walls of several temples by writing the slogan with spray paint.
The police have formed the teams and launched an investigation into the matter to nab the accused. According to the information, temples were defaced in two villages of the Aligarh district. The slogans appeared on Friday night and early Saturday morning at temple walls in Bulakgarhi and Bhagwanpur villages.
Reacting to the incident, CO Gabhana Sanjeev Kumar Tomar said that the slogans were erased and a case was filed. He added that three teams were found to arrest the accused.

He said, " Today, an incident was reported at Lodha PS, stating that some religious slogans were scribbled on the walls at some religious sites. The Police took action and erased the scribbled religious slogans. A case is being registered in this matter. Three teams have been constituted to arrest the accused."

Aligarh SSP visited the site and termed the act a 'provocation' to disrupt the communal harmony.
Taking to X, Aligarh Police said, "Thana Lodha – Upon receiving information about religious slogans being written on religious sites, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Aligarh, conducted an inspection of all religious sites in the villages of Bulakgarhi and Bhagwanpur. Religious slogans written on four religious sites have been removed. Discussions have also been held with the villagers. A previous dispute in the village has also come to notice. A thorough investigation is being conducted into all aspects. A case is being registered in this matter, and orders have been given to take strict punitive action against the accused involved in the incident. Peace prevails at the scene."
