Gurugram Crime: Teenager Shoots Classmate With Father's Licensed Pistol In Sector 48

A teenager allegedly shot his classmate after taking him to his home in the Sadar police station area on Saturday night. The minor accused reportedly used his father's licensed pistol in the life-threatening attack.

The incident occurred at 9 pm on Saturday. According to a police spokesperson, the control room received information at that time about a student being shot in Sector 48. When police arrived, they learned the injured student had been taken to Medanta Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.

Based on a statement from the injured student's mother, Sadar police have registered a case. Two individuals, including the minor accused, were apprehended near their home on Sunday morning.

Police teams, including Scene of Crime and Fingerprint units, inspected the incident location. They recovered one pistol, two magazines, 70 cartridges, and an empty shell casing from the scene.

In her written complaint, the injured student's mother stated that her son is an 11th-grade student. On Saturday evening, he received a phone call from a school friend who wanted to meet. The mother forbade her son from going, but he went to the KherkiDaula toll plaza at his friend's request, where he met the friend.

Afterwards, the accused teenager, accompanied by another individual, took the student to his home in Sector 48. There, the accused allegedly shot the student with the intent to kill, leaving him bleeding profusely.

According to police, preliminary questioning revealed that the accused and the victim had a fight at school over an issue approximately two months ago. The accused teenager, holding a grudge over this, allegedly committed the act along with his companion. It was also revealed that the accused had shared a meal with the victim before taking him to his home.

The accused's father is a property dealer, and his licensed pistol was kept at home, which the accused allegedly used to commit the offence. Both accused are currently being questioned as police investigate the precise reasons for the incident.
