In a significant step towards strengthening health facilities in the city, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram is set to develop an existing park in Sector-10 into a state-of-the-art yoga park and yoga hall at Rs 25,00,000. 

According to corporation officials, the tender process has been completed, and work will commence next month. The park will be redesigned to suit the needs of yoga practice. Lush, level lawns will be prepared so that people can enjoy yoga in the open air.

Additionally, a modern yoga hall, equipped with all necessary facilities, will be built within the park. This hall will offer the opportunity to practise yoga comfortably throughout the year and in all seasons, alleviating the difficulties caused by rain, cold or heat. 

The facility will not only become a centre for yoga but will also serve as a new platform for health awareness for the local community. The corporation's objective is to encourage more people to engage in daily yoga and fitness activities, thereby promoting a healthy lifestyle. The beautification of the park will also increase the greenery in the area, providing residents with a peaceful, clean, and positive environment.

The Municipal Corporation is currently focusing on equipping parks across the city with new facilities. Work is underway on five special parks for people with disabilities, and new amenities, including fountains, are being added to larger parks. Additionally, an Atal Park is also being developed in the city. 

Praveen Raghav, an Executive Engineer at the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, said that a yoga park and hall will be developed in Sector-10. The tender process for this has been initiated, and work will commence next month.
