New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Around 40-50 terrorists, including suicide bombers, are currently being trained at terror launch pads of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, news agency ANI quoted government sources as saying.
The alarming revelation comes days after it was reported that around 500 terrorists, trained at terror launch pads revived in PoK, were waiting to infiltrate into Indian territories. Some of the terrorists waiting to infiltrate into India were trained at the Jaish-e-Mohammad camp in Balakot which was bombed by Indian Air Force in February.
As per government sources, Pakistan's plan is to create unrest in Kashmir with an aim to project to the international community that the situation in the Valley is deteriorating after India decided to withdraw special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
The ill-intentioned move comes at a time when the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Asia Pacific Group (APG) reviews Pakistan’s efforts to counter terror financing. Islambad is likely to be retained in FATF's 'grey list' after having complied with just one of the 40 parameters put forth by the global watchdog for terror financing and money laundering.

According to reports, the terrorists being trained to infiltrate and carry out attack in the Valley also include Afghan and Pashtun mercenaries.
Pakistan first began pushing foreign mercenaries of different ethnicities into Kashmir in 1990 when it launched cross-border terrorism as a proxy war against India.
However, it changed its strategy and started sending terrorists from ethnic communities of Punjab and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) following the counter-terror operations conducted by the Indian Army.
