Haryana Assembly Eleaction 2024: Ahead of the upcoming Assembly Election in Haryana, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to contest elections on all 90 seats alone. The announcement was made by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann during a press conference in Chandigarh. 

During the press conference which was attended by AAP MP Sanjay Singh, Dr Sandeep Pathak along with the Punjab CM, the AAP announced the slogan for Haryana: "Badlenge Haryana ka haal ab layenge Kejriwal.” AAP leader Sandeep Pathak said, "The public wants change and AAP is ready for change. We will fight the elections with our full strength and the results will be good this time.”

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha Election 2024, the Opposition INDIA bloc had contested the elections together. Out of the total 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state, the Congress had fielded its candidates on nine out of 10 seats in the state, while the Aam Aadmi Party had fielded Sushil Gupta as its candidate from the lone seat, Kurukshetra.

However, the AAP candidate secured defeat in Kurukshetra as BJP’s Naveen Jindal won the election. Haryana AAP Vice President Anurag Dhanda had made serious allegations against Congress leaders after the party lost the general elections in Haryana. 

Just a few days back the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) announced their alliance to jointly contest the upcoming Assembly polls in Haryana. "In Haryana, we have decided to jointly fight the upcoming assembly elections. Today, the feeling of common people is to oust the BJP from power and keep the Congress party at bay, which looted the state 10 years earlier," BSP’s General Secretary Abhay Singh Chautala said.

Out of the total 90 Assembly seats in Haryana, the BSP will contest 37 seats while the INLD will contest on the remaining 53 seats in Haryana, where the ruling BJP is eyeing to come to power for the third consecutive time.
