Aero India Show 2025 Bengaluru: India is set to demonstrate its growing military prowess at Aero India 2025, Asia’s largest air show, commencing on Monday in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. The five-day event will exhibit state-of-the-art defence technology, reinforcing India's self-reliance and strategic strength. With over 900 exhibitors, including 150 foreign companies, this year’s edition is expected to be the largest ever.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the 'India Pavilion' at Aero India Show 2025, Bengaluru on Monday. The Defence Ministry stated that the event is a testament to India’s commitment to innovation, strategic partnerships and aerospace excellence. He emphasised that the Aero India Show 2025 not only showcases defence capabilities but also strengthens global collaborations.

Over 90 Countries To Participate

The air show will host representatives from 90 countries and defence ministers or officials from about 30 nations, reflecting India's growing stature in global defence and aerospace. Additionally, Air Force chiefs from 43 countries will attend, underscoring the event's significance.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated, ''Our aim is to foster cooperation with friendly nations, promote shared progress, and inspire future generations with cutting-edge technology.''

BEL To Display AI-Powered Warfare Technology

State-owned Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will unveil advanced AI-powered warfare technology at the show. Key displays include Pralay missiles, Long-Range Land Attack Cruise Missiles, Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSAM) and portable anti-drone systems. 

The exhibit will also feature next-generation radars like Air Defence Fire Control Radar, Ashwini Radar and Multi-Function Radar, along with Generative AI-based virtual assistants and voice translation systems.

HAL's Light Utility Helicopter In the Spotlight

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will showcase its Light Utility Helicopter (LUH), along with models of HTT-40 Simulator, LCA Mk 1A Fighter, LCA Mk 1 Trainer, Hindustan Jet Trainer-36, HTT-40, LCH, and LH Mk II. 

For the first time, a 1:1 scale model of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) will be displayed. HAL’s Aerospace Corner will feature Cryogenic Engine CE-20, GSLV MK and Chandrayaan-3 models, highlighting its role in space and defence advancements.

US To Display F-16, F-35 Fighter Jets

The United States will present its latest defence technology, including F-16, F-35, KC-135 Stratotanker and B-1 Bomber aircraft. The US Consulate announced that over two dozen American companies will explore new business opportunities in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), fighter jets, advanced avionics and defence electronics. US Charge d’Affaires Jorgan Andrews will lead a high-level delegation from the State, Defence and Commerce Departments.

Russian SU-57 And American F-35 To Debut At Aero India

For the first time, Russia’s SU-57 and the United States’s F-35, two of the world’s most advanced fifth-generation fighter jets, will participate in Aero India Show 2025. The Defence Ministry hailed this as a milestone in global defence cooperation, further cementing India’s position as a key player in the international aerospace sector.
