Bhopal Student Suicide News: In a tragic incident in Bhopal, a 14-year-old Class 8 student, the only child of his parents, allegedly died by suicide after being restricted from playing mobile games. The incident occurred when his family was away attending a funeral.

Upon their return, they found the boy hanging in his room and immediately informed the authorities. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

How Did The Tragedy Unfolded?

The victim, identified as Ansh Sahu, was a Class 8 student and the only child of his parents. On Monday afternoon, Ansh's parents, both private school teachers, left the house to attend a funeral. Upon their return, they found him hanging in his room. Desperately, his parents rushed him to the nearby hospital, where medical staff declared him dead on arrival.

Family Alleges Online Gaming Addiction

According to the family members, Ansh had become increasingly addicted to online gaming over the past few days. His maternal uncle, Bhola Sahu, revealed that Rs 28,000 was deducted from Ansh’s grandfather’s bank account for an online game, Free Fire, NDTV reported.

Concerned by the growing addiction and excessive mobile usage, his parents had taken away his phone and repeatedly advised him to stay away from the screen. Despite this, reports indicate that Ansh was still playing an online game on the day of the incident as well. According to Ansh's family, his growing addiction to online gaming was the primary reason behind the extreme step, the report added.

Authorities have seized Ansh's mobile phone for examination. Police are investigating all possible angles to determine the exact reason behind the incident.

Ghaziabad Triple Suicide

In a similar heartbreaking incident in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, three minor sisters aged 12, 14 and 16 allegedly jumped to their deaths from the ninth floor of a building after their parents allegedly objected to playing Korean task-based games. They left behind a handwritten suicide note apologising to their parents.
