A speeding SUV ran over a group of people, leaving five dead and at least three others injured on Friday Night. The horrifying incident took place near the Nagla Budhi area.
According to Police authorities, the Tata Nexon SUV first collided with a motorcycle and a divider before losing control and crashing into a group of people standing by the roadside. The driver then slammed the vehicle into a wall, leaving the car completely mangled.
NDTV reported that visuals from the scene showed shattered windows and crushed headlights, with much of the vehicle badly damaged.

Police identified the deceased as Babli (33), Bhanu Pratap (25), Kamal (23), Krishna (20), and Bantesh (21). The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

An eyewitness recalled the incident and said that he was sitting in his shop when he saw the speeding car and then heard a loud noise. Upon closer inspection, he saw several people trapped under the vehicle. "We pulled people out from under the car. The injured were in very critical condition and were taken to the hospital".

Local residents immediately dragged the driver out of the vehicle and beat him before police intervened and arrested him, seizing the SUV.
Authorities are currently investigating whether driver may have consumed .
