A social media user on X has compared the lifestyle and employment culture of Gujarat's Ahmedabad to Bengaluru, stating that the Karnataka capital city is a much better place to reside in in comparison to Ahmedabad, adding that while Karnataka's Silicon City is home to smart people with a low-key lifestyle, Ahmedabad is full of "show-offs".

"Ahmedabad sucks", the user 'Gujju Tweeter' wrote in his post on X. He later described the differences between the two giant cities and described his decision to shift to Ahmedabad after living in Bengaluru as a "Big mistake". The user pointed out that Ahmedabad was full of greedy people and he did not meet any likeminded people there.

"Ahmedabad Sucks… barren land without like-minded people. Max Dehaat and Greed all around. It was more alive life in Bengaluru than here. Big mistake, that I moved here in majboori. Reversing this decision is painstakingly impossible," he wrote in his post on X. He also pointed out that while Bengaluru has the most intelligent people in their fields and they have a simple life, people in Ahmedabad mostly run the family business and they exploit employees.

"I was living amongst most intelligent people in their fields. Simple life and robust setup. Ahmedabad, it’s all show off and seeing how companies run by families (even IT companies) and  they are just exploiting hostile employees. No professional ethics and many subtle mindset issues. All show offs and mostly wealthy are living off 'borrowed money'," he added.

While most of the netizens agreed with what the user pointed out, few disagreed. While one of the users suggested he stop spreading negativity, others agreed with him and suggested he move out of the city as quickly as possible. "I don’t know why you felt this way. But Ahmedabad doesn’t suck. Don’t demean people if you were not able to adjust," one of the users wrote.

"True. Ahmedabad is over-Vikasized and the atmosphere is so rough there that I found the heat of the Kutchh desert during May-June more tenable than Ahmedabad's," another user wrote. There have been multiple debates over the lifestyles of different cities on social media platforms in the last few months.
