Air India on Saturday issued an advisory announcing flight disruptions to and from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi. The airline has said that the flights' scheduled will remain disrupted due to the dust storm which lead to delays and disruptions yesterday too.
As per the Air India advisory, the flight movement will remian disrupted between 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. In a post on X, Air India said, "Air India advises passengers flying today to/from Delhi to expect potential disruptions due to heavy dusty winds forecast today between 17:30 and 21:00 hrs IST. Similar weather conditions yesterday caused flight diversions and delays, with air traffic congestion continuing to affect operations into today."
Adding that such disruptions have a cascading impact on flight schedules, the airline said that they were making efforts to manage them effectively and to minimise inconvenience. However, the airline said that some delays or changes may still occur.
Air India advised passengers to check their flight status regularly while allowing extra time for airport travel because the grounded operations may also be impacted due to the weather.

Soon after the announcements of delays, visuals of massive crowd at the airport surfaced on social media.
According to a report by News 18, an official said, "After the dust storm, many flights were diverted and cancelled, and this caused inconvenience to passengers waiting for their flights at Delhi airport. The diverted flight took time to reach Delhi, and this led to a rush at the airport."
Earlier on Friday evening, Delhi and neighbouring areas were hit by a dust storm, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded at the Delhi Airport as several flights were delayed.
As per the reports, more than 50 domestic flights from Indira Gandhi International Airport were delayed, around 25 were diverted from their scheduled destination, and seven were cancelled by Saturday as a result of the dust storm.
