DGCA Guidelines For Children: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked the airlines to ensure that children below the age of 12 should be seated with at least one of the parents or guardian. The aviation authority has mandated that children should not be alloted seats without their parents or guardians, who are travelling on the same Passenger Name Record (PNR).
The DGCA also asked the airlines to maintain a record of these seating arrangements. The new directive came as under the revised Air Transport Circular (ATC)-01 of 2024, which was titled 'Unbundle of Services and Fees by Scheduled Airlines'.
