Amarnath Yatra 2026: Bus And Taxi Fares Released For Srinagar, Baltal, Pahalgam, Jammu, And Local Routes | Check List

Amarnath Yatra 2026: The annual Amarnath Yatra began on Friday, July 3, marking the start of a 57-day pilgrimage that will conclude on August 28. The first batches of pilgrims departed from the twin base camps of Baltal and Nunwan, beginning their journey toward the 3,880-metre-high cave shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas that houses a naturally formed ice lingam.

For those planning to undertake the Amarnath Yatra this year, the local administration has released the fare lists for buses, taxis and local transit to ensure a smooth journey.

Here is the fare list for the key pilgrimage routes:

- For those travelling from Srinagar to Baltal, the bus fare is fixed at Rs 175, while a seat in a taxi or maxi-cab will cost Rs 386.

- Additionally, for the longer journey connecting Baltal to Jammu, the bus fare is fixed at Rs 643, while the taxi fare is set at Rs 1,421.

- For pilgrims travelling from Srinagar to Pahalgam, the bus fare is set at Rs 173, while the taxi fare is fixed at Rs 384.

- Those travelling from Pahalgam to Jammu will have to pay Rs 434 for a bus ride and Rs 949 for a taxi.

- Additionally, for those heading from Srinagar to Jammu, the bus fare is set at Rs 468 while the taxi fare is fixed at Rs 1,035.

Revised Fares For Local Routes

The newly issued notification has revised fares on key local routes, specifically for the 18.10 km stretch between Nunwan and Chandanwari, and the 17 km stretch from Sonmarg to Baltal.

- For passengers travelling from Nunwan to Chandanwari, the minibus fare is set at Rs 156, while a petrol taxi costs Rs 320 and a diesel taxi costs Rs 164.

- Similarly, those heading from Sonmarg to Baltal will be charged Rs 146 for a minibus, Rs 320 for a petrol taxi, and Rs 164 for a diesel taxi.
