"Efforts are on to douse the fire with the help of locals,” officials reported as quoted by ANI, emphasising that the size of the fire necessitated substantial resources to bring it under control.
Authorities have filed a report and launched an investigation to discover the cause of the incident. No reports of injuries or fatalities have been revealed as officials continue to survey the damage.
Another instance occurred on Thursday afternoon in Siuna village, Chanaini tehsil of Udhampur, when a fire broke out in a home, killing the horse tied in the cattle shed as well as destroying the commodities stored within. By the time the fire was extinguished, all of the goods stored within had been reduced to ashes.
The owner of the house has asked the tehsil administration for assistance. Rumal Chand, the house's owner, said he left for work on Thursday afternoon. He had tethered the horse inside the cattle shed. Suddenly, the home caught fire in the afternoon.
The neighbours noticed the fire and began attempting to extinguish it. Everyone worked together to suppress the fire, but by that time, all of the items inside had been burned, and the horse had perished as a result of the fire.
