Dangeti Jahnavi becomes the first Indian to successfully complete NASA’s prestigious International Air and Space Program. Jahnavi is set to go into space in 2029 for a US-based project. She will travel to Titan’s Orbital Port Space Station for the project.

Jahnavi actively participates in STEM education programs and space outreach. She has delivered talks at ISRO’s educational programs and addressed students on various space topics at premier educational institutions, like the National Institute of Technology (NIT). Previously, she actively engaged in analog missions and global conferences related to planetary science and sustainability in long-duration space travel.

Contributions To Space Programs

Dangeti Jahnavi contributed to the International Astronomical Search Collaboration, which led to the discovery of an asteroid. The discovery was based on the data of the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System (Pan-STARRS). Jahnavi was the first Indian and youngest foreign analog astronaut chosen for Space Iceland’s geology training program.

Awarded With Several Accolades

Jahnavi’s contribution to space programs has been recognised with several awards, like the People’s Choice Award at the NASA Space Apps Challenge and the ISRO World Space Week Young Achiever Award.

Jahanvi completed her intermediate education in her home town, Palakollu, and then she pursued her undergraduate degree from Lovely Professional University, Punjab. She is a graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Her parents, Srinivas and Padmasri, reside in Kuwait for work.
