Andhra Pradesh News: Seven more maoists were killed in the encounter in a forest area in Andhra Pradesh early Wednesday morning. The security forces are tracking suspicious movements in the area and are closely monitoring the situation. Foreces have also arrested several maoists leaders.
"In continuation with Tuesday’s operation, seven Maoists have died until now, according to information received from the field," AP Intelligence ADG Mahesh Chandra Laddha informed in a press conference.
The deceased include: Meturi Joga Rao, alias Shankar, Jyothi, alias Saritha, she was earlier appointed as guard commander to Nambala Kesava Rao; Suresh, alias Ramesh; Lokesh, alias Ganesh, he was appointed as Jagargonda area Militia Commander; Sainu, alias Vasu; Anitha; and Shammi.
The arrested maoists include - senior Maoist leaders, logistics experts, communication operatives and armed platoon members, party members, many of whom were closely associated with Madvi Hidma, a central committee member of the CPI Maoist party.
On November 17, security forces achieved a major breakthrough in their ongoing operation to eliminate naxalism in Chhattisgarh after top maoist commander Madvi Hidma, along with five other members of the group were killed in an encounter.
Hidma was responsible for carrying out at least 26 armed attacks on civilians and security forces. The encounter took place in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh, near the Sukma border.

Madvi Hidma was considered one of the most feared maoists. The police had placed a bounty of Rs 50 lakh on Hidma. Besides Hidma, his wife Raje was also killed in the encounter.
