Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Historically, Andhra Pradesh has posed challenges for national parties during the Lok Sabha elections due to its strong regional sentiments. The state has seen changes in political dynamics that have a big impact on national politics.

Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Election 2024: Schedule And Phase

The Election Commission of India on Saturday announced that the Lok Sabha polls for 543 seats will be held in seven phases starting with the first phase on April 19. The voting on the second phase will be held on April 26, the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20, the sixth phase on May 25 and the seventh phase on June 1. The counting of votes will take place on June 4. In Andhra Pradesh, all 25 Lok Sabha seats will go to the polls in the fourth phase on May 13.

How Many Lok Sabha Constituencies Andhra Pradesh Has

Andhra Pradesh is the ninth-largest state in terms of parliamentary representation, holding 25 members in the Lok Sabha. Out of these, four seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates and one for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates. In the 2019 general elections, the YSR Congress Party emerged as the dominant force with 22 out of 25 seats, while the BJP and INC were unable to get any seats.

In the upcoming general elections, while the BJP and NDA's standing in the state remains unchanged, the Congress could potentially gain an advantage due to its participation in the newly established INDIA alliance. Meanwhile, YSRCP has released a list of 25 candidates for Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.
