Pune: After the Nashik TCS sexual exploitation and religious conversion scandal sent shockwaves across the country, a similar case has surfaced from the IT Firm, Wipro Technologies, in Pune.

A former employee has filed a complaint at the Hinjewadi police station and sent a legal notice to the company, alleging religious harassment, workplace discrimination, and forced resignation.

'Forced To Choose Between Demands And Resignation'

The victim stated that the men targeted and pressured Hindu women, forcing them to choose between either giving in to their demands or resigning from their positions.

"I had to come forward with the level of harassment and torture I have faced over the past ten months," Jagran.com quoted the former employee as saying.

She also raised serious questions about the company's management, stating, "When we report these incidents to the company, they dismiss them and the matter is later hushed up."

Persuaded Me To Have A Physical Relationship, Shift to Dubai

In her complaint, she named a coworker and a senior officer while detailing the alleged abuse, stating, "Shaheen Rafiq began harassing me from the first day I started working."

According to the victim, Rafiq pressured her to have a physical relationship with the country head, Ramkumar. She further alleged that Rafiq told her to use the relationship to get a transfer to Dubai, where she promised to arrange a marriage to a sheikh, claiming it would ensure both financial growth and sexual satidication.

"I filed the complaint yesterday and have been summoned today regarding the FIR. The police have assured me they will investigate the matter, after which a formal FIR will be registered," the former employee said.

She further explained that the issue was raised on April 24, 2026, after her resignation, when she demanded that the company provide a specific reason for her dismissal.

'I Want My Job Back'

Oulting her demands, the victim said, "My demand is simple: I want my job back. My dismissal was illegal, and I have reiterated this repeatedly."

Additionally, she advocated for broader reforms in the corporate world, emphasising that private sector organisations should establish dedicated, institutional mechanisms to ensure the safety and security of women in the workplace.
