Assamese model and influencer Archita Phukan recently made headlines after a photo of her with American adult film star Kendra Lust went viral, making her one of the most talked-about personalities online.

However, Phukan clarified that the image was morphed and shared from a fake social media account. She stated that the doctored photo was widely circulated, and many of her friends and acquaintances came across it on various platforms.

Following a complaint lodged by Phukan’s brother, police arrested the accused, Pratim Bora, from his residence in Tinsukia. It was later discovered that Bora had been operating the fake profile for several weeks.

According to police, Pratim Bora had gone into hiding following the complaint. However, he was tracked down and arrested after authorities traced his phone location. “We tracked the accused using IP address data and technical evidence. He was arrested from a rented apartment in Tinsukia. His phone and laptop have been seized and sent for forensic examination,” a cybercrime officer said, according to the HT report.

Police said he confessed to using images from her old social media posts and altering them. "During interrogation, the accused said he created the fake account out of anger and emotional frustration following the end of his relationship with the woman," the officer added.
