Delhi Election 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has threatened to take legal action over recent allegations by Aam Aadmi Party (AAp). The row erupted after AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh on Thursday alleged that BJP was bribing legislators of AAP to change sides ahead of the Delhi Election 2025 results to be declared on Saturday, February 8. Later, Arvind Kejriwal also claimed that BJP had offered Rs 15 crore to multiple AAP candidates to jump ship
Threatening legal action against Sanjay Singh, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said, "They call it ‘Operation Lotus' or other names, but the intent remains the same." He said that AAP has already alerted its MLAs. He said, "If they receive such calls, they must record them. If someone meets them with an offer, they should use a hidden camera to record the conversation and expose it."
Kejriwal, who has vowed to return as Chief Minister if his party wins the February 5 elections, has claimed that 16 AAP candidates had received calls yesterday with an offer of Rs 15 crore to change sides.
"In the last two hours, 16 of our candidates have received calls that if they leave AAP and join their party, they will make them ministers and will give Rs 15 crores to each of them," Arvind Kejriwal said in an online post.
Pointing out that some exit polls have predicted the BJP will win more than 55 seats in the election, he wondered why they had to poach the rival candidates. "These fake surveys have been conducted with the sole purpose of pressuring some candidates. But not even one of our men will bend," he said.

Delhi minister Mukesh Ahlawat, AAP candidate from Sultanpur Majra, echoed the party chief's claims and said he too received an offer to change sides.
"I got a call from this number. I was told that their government was being formed, and they would make me a minister and give me Rs 15 crore if I left AAP and joined them. But due to the respect that Mr Kejriwal and the AAP have given me, I will never leave my party till my death," he said in an online post
Delhi Election 2025 Exit Polls
The high-stakes battle for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025 concluded on Wednesday, with exit polls projecting a significant shift in the political landscape of the national capital. Most pollsters have given the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) an edge over the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), signalling a potential end to the BJP’s 27-year drought in Delhi. Meanwhile, the Congress is expected to remain on the margins, failing to make any gains. The final results will be declared on February 8 by the EC.
According to the latest exit polls released by Axis My India, Today's Chanakya, and CNX, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to win Delhi Assembly Election 2025, marking its first return to power since 1998. The Axis My India poll shows the BJP securing between 45 and 55 of Delhi's 70 seats, while CNX predicts an even stronger showing with between 49 and 61 seats. Today's Chanakya, too, offers BJP 51 seats compared to the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) 19.
Delhi Election 2025: What To Expect?
The 2025 elections saw a triangular contest between the AAP, BJP, and Congress. The AAP was aiming for a fourth consecutive term, while the BJP sought to make a comeback after its last victory in 1998. The Congress, once a dominant force in Delhi, continues to grapple with its declining influence. If the Exit Polls hold true, the BJP’s potential victory would mark a significant turning point in Delhi’s electoral history.
