Howrah Porn Torture Case: Aryan Khan, a key accused in the disturbing Howrah porn torture case, has been arrested by the West Bengal Police, officials confirmed on Wednesday. His mother, who is also named as a co-accused, continues to evade arrest.The duo allegedly tortured a woman for months after she refused to shoot pornographic videos or work as a bar dancer. While Aryan is now in police custody, the search for his absconding mother is ongoing.

 

The shocking incident came to light recently, exposing the mother-son duo’s alleged role in torturing the victim, who is now in critical condition and undergoing treatment at a hospital. Both suspects had been on the run since the case emerged, but only Aryan Khan has been apprehended so far.

BJP Alleges TMC Connection to Accused Woman

The political temperature around the case rose after Union Minister and West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar accused the absconding woman, Shweta Khan, of being connected to top leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC).

Majumdar posted photos showing Shweta Khan with TMC leader Rajib Banerjee and state Minister Arup Roy. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), he alleged, “In this case, one of the prime accused, Shweta Khan, is absconding — and is closely linked to @AITCofficial leader Rajib Banerjee and West Bengal Minister Arup Roy. They have been running such a criminal racket for years, but the Howrah Police Commissionerate — loyal and sycophantic to the Chief Minister — claims to know nothing! And now, the mother and son are on the run, while the police remain completely incapable of catching them. Shame.”

Police Probe Porn Racket 

The Howrah Police have launched a deeper investigation to determine whether the accused were operating a pornography racket disguised as an event management company. A senior police officer told PTI that the duo allegedly lured young women with the promise of well-paying jobs but instead coerced them into filming sexually explicit content.

PTI quoted the police as saying, “The accused woman and her son are absconding, and a search for them has been launched. We are trying to probe whether they were running any pornography film racket in the guise of running an event management agency.”

The police added, “Initial probe has revealed that they used to lure young girls looking for employment under the pretext of a good salary and then force them to take part in films with pornographic content.”
