Atal Bihari Vajpayee Jayanti: On the occasion of the 101 birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate ‘Rashtra Prerna Sthal’ in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow.

This site will serve as a unique center for transmitting to future generations the thoughts, ideals, and invaluable contributions of three prominent pillars of Indian nationalism Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Spread across 65 acres, the complex features 65-foot-tall bronze statues of the three eminent figures, symbolising their contributions to nation-building.

A modern lotus-shaped museum, a meditation center, and a large public gathering space make it a living source of national inspiration. Built at a cost of approximately Rs 230 crore, the memorial is not only a tribute to heritage but also an inspiring effort to keep alive the ideals of good governance and service to the nation.

Over 200,000 people will attend this grand opening ceremony, where Lucknow will witness the dawn of a new era amid cultural performances and tight security.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared about the inauguration on Wednesday by posting on X. He said that our government is committed to honoring and preserving the legacy of the country's great personalities. In this connection, tomorrow (Thursday) at around 2:30 pm, we will have the privilege of inaugurating the 'Rashtra Prerna Sthal' in Lucknow on the occasion of the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna, the revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

He said that along with Vajpayee, magnificent bronze statues of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya have also been installed here. A state-of-the-art museum has also been developed, offering an opportunity to learn about the invaluable contributions of these visionary leaders to nation-building.
