The grand event of Ram Mandir Consecration in Ayodhya will take place today in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries. The entire city has been turned into a fortress owing to the VVIP movement. The occasion has been hailed as a Diwali -- the festivities that marked Lord Ram's homecoming after the battle with Ravan and temples and houses have been strung with festive lighting. The temple city has been decorated with posters and flags bearing Lord Rama's picture. Besides Ayodhya, other cities have been decorated with lights, huge cutouts of Lord Ram and posters bearing religious slogans related to Lord Ram. Many temples are holding grand events to mark the significant event.
The grand temple has been built in the traditional north-Indian Nagara style. It has over 392 pillars and 44 doors with elaborate carvings of gods and goddesses. Ram Lalla’s idol has already been placed in the sanctum sanctorum.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announced on Sunday that the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony will be marked by a dazzling musical event titled 'Mangal Dhwani'. The 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya Temple will be held at 12:30 pm.
