Bengaluru Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a wet spell for Bengaluru in the current week. Heavy rain has been lashing Bengaluru for the last couple of days. IMD has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds for five days. The alert will be in place till July 26. The showers have brought down temperatures in India’s Silicon Valley. However, rains may cause waterlogging, power cuts and traffic chaos in the city.
As per IMD bulletin, parts of Karnataka have been put under orange alert for heavy rain. Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Udupi, and other places are set to see torrential rain.

July 22: Heavy rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts.
July 23: Heavy to Very heavy rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts.
July 24: Heavy to Very heavy rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts.

Bengaluru Weather Forecast
July 21: Heavy rain is expected to lash Bengaluru for the entire day. The weather body has also issued a warning.
22 July: Bengaluru is likely to see moderate rain with mainly cloudy sky. The weather body has issued no warning for the city.
23 July: The city is expected to see light showers and a generally cloudy sky. The weather body has again issued no warning.
24 July: Moderate rain is likely to hit Bengaluru with dominant cloud cover.
25 July: Rain activity will continue in Bengaluru along with cloudy skies.
26 July: Bengaluru will see an overcast along with rain.
