Bengal Weather Update: Kolkata skies remained cloudy on Thursday morning. According to the Meteorological Department there will be no heavy rain in Kolkata on Thursday. However, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places. Along with this, thunderstorms will continue in seven districts of South Bengal.

As the low low-pressure area moved over Jharkhand, intensity of rainfall is very likely to decrease however due to presence of monsoon flow, light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rain/thundershowers are very likely to continue over districts of West Bengal, IMD said in its bulletin on Thursday.

Over the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places with heavy rainfall at one or two places over Murshidabad district of Gangetic West Bengal. Light to moderate rainfall occurred at many places with heavy rainfall at one or two places over Kalimpong and Darjeeling districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.

South Bengal Weather

July 10: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over Purulia, Bankura, West Midnapore, West Burdwan, East Burdwan, Birbhum and Murshidabad districts of South Bengal.

July 11 And 12: Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur at many places over all the districts of South Bengal.

July 13: Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur at most places over all the districts of South Bengal

July 14: Heavy Rainfall (7-11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over Purulia, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas districts of South Bengal.

North Bengal Weather

July 10: Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur at most places over Malda, North Dinajpur and South Dinajpur districts and at many places over the rest districts of North Bengal.

July 11 And 12: Light to moderate rain/thundershower likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of North Bengal.

July 13: Heavy Rainfall (7-11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Kalimpong and Coochbehar districts of North Bengal. Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Kalimpong and Coochbehar districts of North Bengal.

July 14: Heavy Rainfall (7-11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar districts of North Bengal.

July 15: Heavy Rainfall (7-11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over North Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar districts of North Bengal.
