Bengaluru News: Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) is launching a unique initiative aimed at improving road safety by replacing low-quality helmets worn by riders. The exact schedule for the event remains undisclosed to maintain an element of surprise.

In addition to the helmet exchange, police officers and RBM members will educate riders about the importance of wearing high-quality helmets to prevent serious head injuries.

The Hindu report quoted Palani Loganathan, president of RBM, stating thar, “Most fatalities in two-wheeler accidents are due to severe head injuries. Riders must wear better helmets to protect themselves. It is concerning that many choose cheap options despite investing heavily in their vehicles.” He noted that the partnership with BTP aims to draw attention to the issue through this innovative approach, rather than a conventional campaign that might not engage the public effectively.
