KSRTC Extra Bus Services From Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Wednesday announced that it will operate extra buses to provide convenience to the residents during Ugadi and Eid al-Fitr festivals. The corporation stated that 2,000 additional buses will operate during these festivals to manage the expected additional crowd in the upcoming days.
While providing details, the authorities stated that a large number of people are expected to travel to and from Bengaluru as Ugadi is set to be celebrated on March 30, and Eid al-Fitr is expected to be celebrated on March 31. The officials stated that extra buses from Bengaluru to various locations will be operated between March 28 and 30.

An official statement also suggested that the return services from these destinations back to the Karnataka capital will be available on March 31. While providing details, the officials stated that the additional buses will operate from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda bus station to various destinations, including Dharmasthala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubbali, and Dharwad.
Apart from this, the buses will also operate to Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppala, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, among other locations. The officials further stated that buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station will travel to Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar, and Madikeri.

The official statement further stated that the KSRTC will also operate premium services from the BMTC bus station in Shanthinagar to destinations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The buses will travel to several cities, including Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Palakkad, Thrissur, and Kozhikode.
The officials also stated that the travelers can do the advance booking for the special services through its computerised reservation system. They further stated that the step was taken to manage the crowd as a large group of people is expected to travel during these festivals.
