In the meantime, Shobha Karandlaje, the Bengaluru North MP and Minister of State for MSME, Labour, and Employment, has formally requested the installation of a Doppler weather radar in the city, marking a significant advancement in weather forecasting in Bengaluru.
What Is Doppler Weather Radar?
The Doppler Weather Radar is expected to significantly increase weather forecast accuracy, according to authorities. It will provide early warnings of extreme weather, such as thunderstorms, heavy rain, and cyclones, thanks to modern technologies. The ultimate goal of the system is to safeguard critical state infrastructure, business ventures, and the safety of Karnataka's citizens.
