Bengaluru Cop Suicide: A Bengaluru police constable was found dead in uniform on a railway track near Baiyappanahalli in Bengaluru, officials said on Saturday. The policeman died allegedly due to torture by his wife and in-laws amid the outrage over the spine-chilling suicide of Atul Subhash, an engineer who worked in Bengaluru. Subhash died by suicide on Monday, alleging that he was tired of his life because of the continuous harassment by his wife.
The police informed that Tippanna Alugur, the deceased, was a head constable at the Hulimavu police station, and he blamed his wife and father-in-law for his decision in a suicide note. The Baiyappanahalli Railway police stated that a case was registered and further investigation into the matter was ordered.

Alugur, who originally belonged to Bijapur, said in his note that his wife and his father-in-law had issued threats to his life earlier. Alugur died by suicide on Friday night on the tracks between Heelalige Railway Station and Carmelaram Husaguru Railway Gate in the city. His body was later shifted to the hospital mortuary by the local people and authorities.
In his suicide note, Alugur claimed that his father-in-law threatened him on December 12. “On December 12, he called me at 7.26 p.m., spoke for 14 minutes, and threatened me," he wrote in the letter.

The letter further suggested that the accused suggested the cop to die when he tried to contact the accused the next morning. The accused said that his daughter's life would be better without the cop. “He also abused me," the note read. The police later registered a case under Sections 108, 351(3), and 352 of the BNS.
A massive outrage sparked when Atul Subhash died by suicide earlier this week at his residence, alleging harassment by his wife and her family members. He also stated that he got no support from the judicial system. He accused the judicial system and his wife in an over-an-hour-long video. Subhash also left behind a 24-page suicide note.
