Bengaluru Train Update: To manage the expected surge of passengers during the upcoming Dasara festival, South Western Railway (SWR) will operate several special trains connecting Mysuru, Bengaluru and Belagavi. The move aims to provide additional travel options for festival-goers and ease congestion on regular services.

- Train No. 06271 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 7.00 PM on September 30 and reach Belagavi at 7.30 AM the following day. Key stops along the route include Chikkabanavara, Tumakuru, Arsikere, Birur, Davangere, Harihar, SMM Haveri, SSS Hubballi, Dharwad, Alnavar, Londa and Khanapur.

- The return service, Train No. 06272, will depart Belagavi at 5.30 PM on October 1, reaching Mysuru at 7.45 AM on October 2. The train will stop at Khanapur, Londa, Alnavar, Dharwad, SSS Hubballi, SMM Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumakuru, Chikkabanavara, Yesvantpur, KSR Bengaluru and Mandya.

- Train No. 06273, will leave Mysuru at 11.45 PM on October 2 and arrive in Belagavi at 12.30 PM on October 3. Its route includes Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, Yesvantpur, Chikkabanavara, Tumakuru, Arsikere, Birur, Davangere, Harihar, SMM Haveri, SSS Hubballi, Dharwad, Alnavar, Londa and Khanapur.

- Train No. 06274 will depart Belagavi at 5.30 PM on October 3 and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 5 AM the next day, stopping at all major stations en route. Similarly, Train No. 06275 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 7 PM on October 4 for Belagavi, while Train No. 06276 will depart Belagavi at 5.30 PM on October 5 and arrive in Bengaluru at 5 AM on October 6.

All special trains will consist of 19 coaches, including one AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, ten sleeper class, three general second class and two SLR/D coaches.

These additional services are expected to ensure smoother travel during the festive period and accommodate the large crowds travelling between Karnataka’s major cities.
