Bengaluru: Commuters using the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, Bengaluru-Hyderabad highway and the Hoskote-Devanahalli section of the Bengaluru Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) will have to pay higher toll charges starting April 1. The toll rates have been raised by 3 to 14 per cent based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) and will be applicable until March 31, 2025.
The toll charges for the Bengaluru-Mysuru access-controlled highway and National Highway 7 (Bengaluru-Hyderabad) have been increased by 3 per cent, while the toll for vehicles using the STRR will see a hike of 14 per cent. This hike in toll charges came after the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) initiated toll collection on the 39.6-km Doddaballapur-Hoskote section of the STRR on November 17, 2023.
