Bengaluru News: Neha Biswal, a Bengaluru-based influencer, has reported an incident of molestation that occurred while she was filming a video blog in BTM Layout on Tuesday. The incident unfolded as she was walking home from work when a boy on a bicycle allegedly groped her. The entire episode was captured on her camera.

In an Instagram reel shared with her over 400,000 followers, a visibly shaken Biswal described her traumatic experience. "This has never happened to me. I feel really bad," she expressed, revealing the emotional toll the incident took on her.

Biswal recounted how the boy, who police later identified as being just 10 years old, initially rode in the same direction as her before making a U-turn to approach her. He teased her by mimicking her speech on camera and then proceeded to molest her. When she cried out for help, local residents quickly intervened and detained the boy.

Despite the boy's capture, many bystanders urged Biswal to forgive him due to his age. "They said he was a child," she noted. After the boy claimed he had lost balance and accidentally brushed against her, Biswal produced the video evidence showing the incident, which helped convince the crowd of her account. "Only after I played the video did people believe me," she said.

In her follow-up video, Biswal revealed that the Bengaluru Police had taken notice of her case. Although she has not filed an official complaint, officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage to identify the boy. "I did not file an FIR because a child is involved, and I don't want to ruin his future, but I do want him to be caught and given some kind of warning," she stated, adding that she has received support from the police. "They made me feel welcomed, as if I were not an outsider, but I am still mentally disturbed by what happened."

DCP South Sarah Fatima confirmed that the police had apprehended the boy and are investigating the matter. "The boy claims he was trying out stunts on his cycle when he brushed past the victim," she explained. While Biswal has opted not to pursue formal charges, the police are continuing their inquiries into the incident.
