The Karnataka Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a man on allegations of forcing his wife into engaging in physical relationships with his friends. The incident was brought to light when the woman filed a formal complaint with the police. In response to the wife's complaint, the Amruthahalli police in Bengaluru initiated an inquiry.
The accused had subjected the woman to both mental and physical abuse. The wife claimed that when she refused to comply with his demands, the accused subjected her to both mental and physical torment. According to law enforcement, the victim had married the accused, originally from Mangaluru city, in 2007, and they have two children together.
One day, the wife accidentally came across her husband's WhatsApp conversations. To her shock, she discovered that the accused had been discussing intimate matters about her with his friends and had also engaged in chats with s*x workers. When she confronted him, he issued threats to her life.
The woman then confided in her parents, who attempted to mediate between them. However, the accused refused to change his behaviour, continued contact with s*x workers, and neglected his family. The family intervened again and reached compromises, but the accused eventually physically assaulted his wife and coerced her into being intimate with his friends. Unable to endure the abuse any longer, the wife reported the situation to the police.
