Bengaluru News: A 24-year-old man, Varun Kotyan, was allegedly killed by his roommate, Divesh, after a dispute over a woman linked to a suspected love triangle. The incident took place in the Sanjaynagar area.

According to The New Indian Express report, both men lived in Geddalahalli and were friends and were love in love with the same woman. Varun worked at a factory in Bagalur, while Divesh was employed at a private company. The night before the incident, the two, along with two friends, went to a party in Koramangala. They returned home in the early hours of Saturday morning after a motorcycle ride to Devanahalli.

Following the outing, one friend stayed over at Varun's place, while the other returned home. It was during this time that tensions flared between Varun and Divesh. While sitting outside their house, They began discussing the woman they both had feelings for, leading to a heated argument. Divesh reportedly became aggressive, chasing Varun down the street. In a fit of rage, Divesh used a nearby stone to bludgeon Varun, resulting in his death.

The police have since arrested Divesh and further investigations into the incident are ongoing.

In a similar incident, dismembered body of 29-year-old Mahalakshmi was discovered in a refrigerator at her apartment in Malleswaram, Bengaluru. Neighbours reported a foul smell, prompting the police investigation. Originally from Bihar, Mahalakshmi had lived alone in the apartment for 4-5 months. The motive for the murder remains unclear and police are gathering information without revealing details about potential suspects. This case bears similarities to the 2022 killing of Shraddha Walker, whose body was also found dismembered and stored in a fridge.
