Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line:Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the much-awaited Yellow line of Bengaluru metro on Sunday, providing a major boost to the regional connectivity. The yellow line will connect RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra and has a route length of over 19 km with 16 stations. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) stated that project is worth around Rs 7,160 crore. It further stated that the metro line will connect Electronic city to the other parts of the city, providing relief to thousands of the IT employees on a daily basis.

Namma Metro yellow line fare details:
The BMRCL had stated that while the commuters will be able to cover the shortest distance in Rs 10, the maximum ticket price is expected to be Rs 90. The authority stated that the yellow line will increase the ridership of Namma Metro, as the line will connect some of the key areas of the city. It will provide convenience to thousands of commuters by cutting the travel time and reducing traffic congestion.

However, the Yellow Line will operate with only three driverless trains running every 25 minutes in the first few weeks. The BMRCL informed that the frequency is expected to increase to 20 minutes as more trains will be added later this month. The authority further stated that service hours are planned from 5 AM to 11 PM daily, with an estimated ridership of 800,000 people once operations stabilize.
Apart from this, PM Modi also flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains at KSR Railway Station in Karntaka's capital city of Bengaluru. These included trains from Bengaluru to Belagavi, Amritsar to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Nagpur (Ajni) to Pune.
