Bengaluru Yellow Line Update:  With the addition of the fourth train set for operations from September 10, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has revised the timings and frequency of the metro train services on the Yellow Line. Starting today, the Yellow Line of Namma Metro will start operations 30 minutes earlier at 6:00 AM.

The Namma Metro Yellow Line connecting RV Road and Bommasandra via Electronic City is crucial for thousands of commuters.

Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line Update: Check New Timings

- From Monday to Saturday, the services on the Yellow Line will now begin at 6:00 AM from September 10, following the addition of new train sets.

- On Sunday, the metro train service will begin at 7:00 AM.

- Earlier, the metro train services on the Yellow Line began at 6:30 AM.

- However, the timings of departure of the last metro train remain unchanged.

- The last metro train will leave RV Road at 11:55 PM and Bommasandra at 10:42 PM.

- The 19.15 km stretch from RV Road to Bommasandra serves as a lifeline for IT professionals and industrial workers, and with the addition of new train sets, commuting would become faster and more frequent.

Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line Update: Check Revised Frequency

In a bid to save commuters time, trains will run every 19 minutes down from the earlier 25-minute intervals on the Bengaluru Namma Metro Yellow Line.

The Namma Metro Yellow was recently opened and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10. Since its launch, the Yellow Line has been witnessing a significantly higher footfall than expected, ferrying an average of 60,000 to 80,000 passengers per day. The ridership on the RV Road-Bommasandra stretch has surpassed its initial estimate of 25,000 to 30,000 passengers.
