In a major update regarding Bengaluru Namma Metro, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced the suspension of services on stretch between MG Road and Baiyappanahalli on Sunday morning between 7 am and 9 am. 

According to a report by Deccan Herald, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) said the curtailment was necessary to carry out scheduled maintenance between the Halasuru and Trinity metro stations.

Metro services on other stretches of purple line will operate as usual Sunday timing, which is first metro begins operation from 7 am onwards. There will be no change in operation on Green line as well.  

Bengaluru Namma Metro Pink Line Update

The Pink Line of the Bengaluru Namma Metro is likely to open partially by early 2026 as BEML, a defence PSU, has promised to deliver 20 trainsets for the route by March next year, as per a report by Deccan Herald.

According to BEML chairman and managing director Shantanu Roy, the trainset manufacturing for the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is in advanced stages. Nearly half of the work is completed on the first trainset.
