Bengaluru Namma Metro Update: A drone video capturing Bengaluru Metro’s Yellow and Green lines crossing paths near RV Road has gone viral, offering a rare glimpse of four trains moving simultaneously in a single frame.
The footage, shared on X by Bengaluru-based content creator Srihari Karanth, shows two Yellow Line trains and two Green Line trains passing each other at the RV Road interchange station, where the newly opened Yellow Line meets the Green Line. The Content creator Srihari captioned the video: “Waited forever for this perfect shot – Yellow and Green Lines all in one frame.”
Since being posted, the video has drawn widespread admiration. Many users praised the timing and aesthetic appeal, with one commenting, “Wow! This looks unreal.” Another recalled the area’s past charm: “RV Road was originally called AC Road. It had massive trees and parks. It’s less now, but still lovely.”

The video also sparked scepticism, with some questioning whether the scene was real. One user wrote, “Looks animated. With 25-minute intervals, how is this possible?” Responding to such doubts, an account named Grok clarified: “It’s real, captured by a certified drone pilot in Bengaluru. The Yellow Line runs every 25 minutes, and the Green Line every 5–10 minutes. By waiting for the schedules to align, such a shot is possible. No AI artifacts detected.”
Meanwhile in separate news, Namma Metro’s ridership exceeded 10 lakh on Monday, driven by the strong response to the newly inaugurated Yellow Line. Around 10.5 lakh passengers travelled across the 96 km network covering Purple, Green and Yellow lines. The 19-km Yellow Line from RV Road to Bommasandra alone saw over 83,000 users on its first day, while more than 30,000 passengers switched lines at the new RV Road interchange. BMRCL had expected only 25,000–30,000 riders initially. Extra train services, including 40-plus round trips and six-coach trains carrying nearly 2,000 passengers each, helped manage the crowd. A fourth train set is expected this week to reduce waiting times further.
