Operation Will Start Partailly In June

The 19.15-km-long Yellow Line connects RV Road with Bommasandra and is likely to provide relief to the commuters by cutting the travel time significantly and reducing the traffic congestion. While the construction work of the metro line was completely within the deadline, the operation got delayed due to the late arrival of driverless trains. The BMRCL officials stated that the operation on the Yellow Line will commence with only three trains, adding that the trains will only stop at some major stops to maintain the frequency and crowd.

As we receive more train sets, we plan to increase frequency and progressively open more stations along the route,” a senior BMRCL official was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
